The “certificate” is what you get each year when you pay a delinquent tax. In my state, Oklahoma, after you have paid 3 consecutive years, you are eligible to receive a tax deed, after you meet all the filing requirements (which are not that easy for an individual to decipher). But, an attorney can help you out.
